I get this whole national fetishism, as I myself have quite a bit for Canadian made stuff, but it’s over. It’s cheaper to manufacture elsewhere, just like almost everything else. Subsidies benefit us, but fuck everyone else. I hate sweatshops, wish they didn’t exist. I also know that foreign manufacturing have lifted hundreds of millions, yes hundreds, of people in China out of absolute poverty. It just isn’t efficient to do this in the US/Canada/EU.
Good for you…this is what I’m talking about. Bring it to peoples attention that NOTHING is made here any more. It will be the biggest downfall for America. Where are our craftsman, our design integrity, our love for production…gone! Now we have China make EVERYTHING. They own our debt and out craftsmanship. The worst part is they don’t even come close to making it as well as we used to…
